How To Win A Slice Of $1 Million To Pay Off Your Student Loans
Natty Light is stepping up its commitment to help reduce student loan debt - including potentially yours. Natty Light (a light beer also known as Natural Light and owned by Anheuser-Busch) is giving away $10 million over the next 10 years to help pay down student loans.
Here's what you need to know.
Student Loan Debt Repayment: $1 Million of Cash Prizes
The latest student loan debt statistics show that more than 44 million Americans collectively owe $1.5 trillion of student loan debt. Student loan debt is now the second highest consumer debt category - behind mortgage debt and ahead of credit card debt. By 2023, 40% of student loan borrowers may default on their student loans.
To address the growing student loan debt issue, Natural Light is giving away $1 million this year to help 70 individuals pay off student loans faster.
Natural Light is giving away a total of $1.06 million. There will be 12 grand prize winners, each of whom will receive $40,000. There will also be 58 first prize winners, each of whom will receive $10,000.
How To Enter
You can enter for a chance to win a slice of the $1 million give-away. Here's what you need to do:
- Post a video to social media from now until May 18, 2019 with your inspiration for going to college.
- Include the green dollar-sign tab found on limited-edition cans in your video.
- Use the hashtags #NattyStories and #Contest
To enter, you must be at least 21 years old and have enrolled in an accredited college or university in the last 10 years. So, you can be a current or former student.
To highlight the student loan debt issue, Natural Lights is airing a 60-second commercial during this year's Super Bowl on February 3. The commercial will air in five markets that have been materially impacted by student loan debt: Columbia, South Carolina; Jackson, Mississippi; Little Rock, Arkansas; Raleigh, North Carolina; and Richmond, Virginia.
On Super Bowl Sunday, Natural Light is giving away $53,000 in honor of Super Bowl 53 to help with your next student loan payment. That means that 151 fans can win $351 each, which is the approximate average cost of a monthly student loan payment. You can enter this contest between January 22, 2019 and February 3, 2019.
Over the past year, Natural Light gave away $1 million to 25 people with student loan debt repayment.
